How do I start a History review?
In the Dashboard, open a search result and choose View History. The timeline opens in a new tab, keeping your search results available. For API workflows, pass the candidate's record uuid to History. Use your existing API account.
Can I print History or download a PDF?
Yes. In the Dashboard, use Print / Save PDF to save the displayed History page. The PDF Report API generates a downloadable report of the available History within supported report limits, with registry links and page numbers on every page. Both workflows are available to all API accounts.
When is offender history useful?
Use History to see when records linked to a candidate first appeared in Offenders.io and how their known registry addresses changed over time.
Is Sex Offender History available on every account?
Yes. History is available to all API accounts. Normal account, authentication, and usage rules apply.
Are history results guaranteed to be complete or accurate?
No. Public registry data may be incomplete, incorrect, or out of date. Verify identity and important details with the official registry before relying on the results.
Can History results be used for regulated eligibility decisions?
Standard History results are candidate public registry records. Do not use standard results alone for employment, housing, credit, insurance, or other regulated eligibility decisions. Approved FCRA partners may use History within a separately enabled workflow and written agreement.
