Real-world use in high-consequence workflows is a strong signal of data quality and operational trust. Ask whether the provider supports healthcare and law-enforcement teams where missed records have real downstream impacts.
Does it cover the jurisdictions you need?
A nationwide label is not enough. Check the states, territories, and tribal jurisdictions your work depends on.
How current is the data?
Ask how often stored data is updated and whether a live registry lookup is available when you need one.
Can you verify the result?
A result is easier to review when you can trace it back to the registry. Look for the registry name, record identifiers, and an official registry reference on every official record.
Is the security claim independently audited?
Security claims should be supported by current third-party evidence.
Ask for the SOC 2 Type II report issued by an independent CPA firm and the latest penetration test report.
Will it hold up in production?
A published SLA is the commitment; operating history is the proof. Review both before moving production traffic.
